The “Close Reading” (Khonesh-e Nazdik) program series is designed to go beyond superficial observations, delving into the deeper, multi-layered significance of a site. Through on-site exploration, we aim to uncover the formation of the surrounding context, trace the roots of a building’s genesis, and analyze the architect’s methodology and architectural expression, ultimately offering a fresh perspective on the spaces we visit.

This series is hosted by Safarnevis and led by architects and researchers Shafagh Motavali and Alireza Mahyari. The graphic design for the posters is created by Farzaneh Nouri. For each session, depending on the nature of the site, we are honored to feature subject-matter experts to provide deeper insights.
