خانه‌ای که در دهه ۱۳۳۰ به تملک برادران صانعی (وارثان معمار علیمحمد صانعی-صنیع السلطان) درآمد، در خرداد ۱۴۰۵ با عنوان موزه مرمت و طراحی شهری (شهرآرا) افتتاح شد. این خانه از آن جهت نیز اهمیت دارد که گفته می‌شود دفترچه جعفرخان معمارباشی ــ که با همکاری سیمرغ‌نامه، معماران باهم و باوند بهپور در دسترس پژوهشگران قرار گرفت ــ از زیرزمین همین خانه کشف شده است. افتتاح این مجموعه، اگر به معنای امکان بازدید عمومی و حضور شهروندان باشد، اتفاقی ارزشمند است. با این حال، یکی از بناهای محوطه همچنان در وضعیت مناسبی قرار ندارد و گفته می‌شود پیش از تملک توسط شهرداری، به‌صورت عمدی تخریب شده است. همچنین خشکاندن درختان حیاط نیز از آسیب‌هایی است که این مجموعه در سال‌های گذشته تجربه کرده است. امید است ادامه مرمت و احیای این مجموعه با رویکردی مشارکتی و با بهره‌گیری از دانش و تجربه‌های روز مرمت، زمینه حفاظت شایسته و بهره‌برداری عمومی از این میراث ارزشمند را فراهم کند.

Tehran | The Sanei Brothers House

Originally acquired by the Sanei brothers in the 1950s, this historic house was inaugurated in June 2026 as the Museum of Conservation and Urban Design (Shahrara). The house is also significant because it is believed that the notebook of Jafar Khan Memarbashi—recently made accessible to researchers through the collaborative efforts of Simorghnameh, Memaran Ba Ham, and Bavand Behpour—was discovered in its basement. The opening of this complex is a welcome step, particularly if it ensures public access and allows citizens to experience the site. However, one of the buildings within the compound remains in poor condition and is reported to have been deliberately damaged before its acquisition by the municipality. The loss of the courtyard's mature trees is another unfortunate chapter in the site's recent history. It is hoped that the continued conservation and revitalization of the complex will follow a collaborative approach, drawing upon contemporary conservation knowledge and practice to ensure both the proper protection of this heritage site and its meaningful public use.
